Hi folks -

This is the next big protest --the newspapers are liking it to the Protest 
of WTO in Seattle in 1999.  Well, we hope without alot of the violence -- 
BUT ALL THE MEDIA ATTENTION!

Please call Chris at the TREES office and leave a message for Eileen if you 
are interested in forming a group that goes to Sacramento.  If you are 
already going and want to be part of the TREES group, also call and we'll 
hook everyone up.

__SACRAMENTO PROTESTS from June 21 - 25th Sacramento, CA

On Sat. 6/21 at 9am there will be a GE Trees press conference and 
demonstration, followed by a teach-in: "Food, Global Justice, and Corporate 
Power - Reclaiming our Forests, Farms and Future," which may be of interest 
to TREES members.  Mary Bull (the organizer of Mourning Mothers, and now 
Killer Tomatos) is going up for the press conference/demonstration and is 
going to be on the forest panel during the teach-in.  She has some tree 
costumes from previous actions and I told her I'd check with TREES to see if 
there are some people who'd be interested in wearing them at the 
demonstration to protest deforestation.  (I'm willing to be an honorary 
TREES member for the occasion.)  Mary's developing a set of points 
addressing California's forests relative to global deforestation issues.  
I'm thinking TREES might have some of their own group go.
