Solstice Redwood InterPlay
I invite community and friends to join me
December 21 2-4
for an InterPlay in the redwoods
on the shortest day of the year.
We meet in the parking lot of Redwood Regional Park at 2pm, and walk in
silence into the location called "Old Church" where we make fire, open to
witness of the closing light of the year, dance a pine branch labyrinth, sing
and if need be-huddle up.
I will go no matter what the weather as I have been making it my practice to
go to this place with community for the last year and a half on the earth's
terms. I always feel benefit from its testament and praise. More than
anything it helps me come back to nature's speed....different from just two
miles away in Oakland.
You may bring a piece of firewood, a gift for the earth, or a symbol of
something you want to leave behind, resurrect or bring to birth in the new
year.
To get there:
East Oakland Hills
take hwy 13 to Redwood Road. Go up hill. Over the ridge, crossing skyline
blvd. continue
down redwood road a mile or two until you see the sign for redwood regional
park on your left. Turn in and go to the end of the parking lot.
Donations to InterPlayce welcome but not required.
The leaves of the trees are for the healing of the nations!
